ISO Cottage, Carriage House or Suite Hello! My fiance and I are moving from the Cowichan Valley up to the Nanaimo/Ladysmith area in February, and are looking for a place in the area. We're looking for a 2-bedroom ideally, but would consider a 1-bedroom if there was some other storage space we could use. We're hoping to find a place in the country, or somewhere more rural, such as Extension or Cinnibar Valley (though we'd consider other places, too) with garden space. For me, the perfect place -- and I know it's a long shot -- would be a cottage or carriage house on a hobby farm or larger acreage with lots of room to grow veggies. I love farms and veggie gardening, and have worked on blueberry and other smaller farms in the past. I occasionally farm-sit, so I also have experience looking after the garden, farm dogs, and livestock (ducks, chickens, sheep, goats -- to name a few!) I'd be happy to look after your farm if you go away on holidays. :) If that doesn't work out, we also would be fine with an above-ground suite on a property with some gardening space! Both of us are employed: I'm in social media marketing and photography, and my fiance will be starting a new technician job in Nanoose Bay. We're both quiet, respectful, don't smoke or party. We're happy to provide references. Our budget is between $1800 and $2000. We don't have pets currently, but I'd love to get a dog someday.
