Looking for a 6 month rental or longer

Looking for a 6 month(or longer) rental in the Cowichan valley for a $1000 or less. Single Non smoker and non drinker, and have no pets. I'm 54 and on disability so can only afford the amount listed at most. The reason for my move is that my current home is managed by third parties for yard maintenance and they do nothing to trim/maintain the big trees that surround the property that I rent. With amount of windstorms that we get now I feel unsafe living there. Also forgot to add that the place will be up for sale soon as well.
