Seventy years ago we used a home-made cotton bag made by our mom to hold our marbles. If we were really lucky we might have a Seagram's whisky bag to hold our marbles. There were cat's eyes, crystals and the most valuable steelies ( actually they were ball bearings). The bag was a very regal purple colour and the word Seagrams was etched in gold. As a child, I always wanted one but was too young to know where they came from. And our family had very little money so my father could not have afforded one. They were discontinued some time ago. I have an 8 year old friend who is collecting a few coins, some from foreign countries. He has an auto immune disease which prevents him from doing a lot of the physical things most young boys do and I know he would be over the moon if I could present him with a Seagrams bag Can you help?
